VXIII 6.5x20x40efr first impressions
I took my new vssf in 22-250 to the range today and used the new vxiii 6.5x20x40 for the first time.I really do not see much difference if any from the older varixiii's that I formerly owned.Tracking was precise, optics were quite clear and the new focus is an improvement although not as good as some of the european models. The only disappointment is that the eye relief does vary a great deal from minimum to maximum power.I set it up where it works well from 12 to 20 power which is where it will be used most ,but I still have to move my head back at settings below 12 power. As for the new rifle groups ranged from 3/8" to 1" but with temperatures below freezing it was a good starting point for load development.

Poor shooting weather everywhere. At the cost of the above mentioned scope, I will take your word for it. Sorry to say they are way out of my pricerange. Hope it works out good for you. Have a good one.
