I have pachmayr and limbsaver recoil pads on different guns and can verify that the limbsaver is softer and better at absorbing recoil but sticks to the safe floor. Its kind of a pain but worth it on big guns.
I cut some mdf for the floor of one side of a safe to "prevent issue" as they say in the monty python movie.

Of the two you referenced, I"d choose the Sims for softness of recoil on a 20 ga. But both a good pads.
On bigger guns I use Kick-eze & have never had a issue with one falling apart. They will however, like the Sims, stick to things like carpet a bit.
Last I knew the Kick-eze was still the best, as tested by those who do such. Does not mean there is a huge difference however over other quality products like the ones you are interested in.

I've always used Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pads on all my guns, and they've worked well, but I'm considering a Sims Limbsaver for the youth model 20 gauge shotgun I bought for my son. I think the Pachmayr looks a bit better, but I've heard the Limbsaver is a bit softer and protects against recoil a bit better...which is what I want for my kid. Which of you use one or both of these recoil pads, and what do you think of it? Do you think the Limbsaver reduces felt recoil better than the Pachmayr? Thanks in advance for your opinions. :-)
I think you just gave a fair assessment of them.
I use Pachmayr too !
