I just bought a Doghouse blind and read where the mesh over the windows is shoot through....Can you really shoot an arrow through the mesh with out changing the arrow' s course???? I really hope so, because the velcro is very noisy while pulling the mesh screen off......

Dale I' m not exactly sure on the specs for your particular mesh but I know that you can pick up the Hunters Specialites mesh just about anywhere that can be cut to fit windows for any blind on the market and it CAN be shot thru with absolutely no problems (might wanna make sure if you shoot mechanicals tho!). I have some (it is MUCH cheaper than the replacement offered by Double Bull for my blind) and the mesh is large enough to easily see and shoot thru yet still keep out bugs. I learned a neat trick for " hangin it" in the windows. Cut each piece appx 6" larger than the window frame itself and with 4 " V clips" available at any supercenter or office supply (you know the small kind of clips you use that have chrome arms attached to a small black " V" that you open to clip papers together) attach the mesh to the window frame of the blind with one clip in each corner. This holds the mesh tight so that the arrow will fly easily thru it, so that you can see easily thru it because it wont fold or bunch up and so that it remains tight and doesnt flap or blow around with any breeze.
Good luck and GIG EM ON THE GROUND if you get the chance, its REALLY fun!

Yes, you can easily shoot through the mesh on the Doghouse though they specifically recommend not to use mechanicals as it will prematurely open the blades.

Thanks PABowhnter and thanks RedAllison, I hadn' t thought about using the paper clips...This will allow me to get rid of my noisey velcro that is on the doghouse mesh......

I had considered using buttons as well but, in all honesty, I have the windows wide open most of the time that I am using the blind. The only time I really close them or use the mesh is if it on a side of the blind that is backed up to a tree or bush and I could not get a shot out of it anyway.
