I have the basic Garmin Etrex (yellow) I got on Ebay for $90 bucks. I use it to mark potential hunting spots so I can get back to them later. I might also use it to find by way out in a pinch. It does all I need.

If you want a good midrange Garmin then go for the Venture. I bought one last year. It has 1mb of memory so you can put a little map or point of interest in there with most of the options the more expensive one' s have.
