I bought a pair of Irish Setter rubber boots, 800g of thinsulate last year. These are the boots they have been advertising on tv this year with the exoflex back so you can put your foot in.
The back of the boot ripped out and I called the store I bought them at and they informed me since I did not have the box or reciept they would not help me (Lennys shoes Williston Vt) I emailed Red Wing/Irish Setter and they said to send them back. I recieved a new pair today 10 days after sending them back. Awesome customer service.

I have to cast another vote for Irish Setter boots! I have the 800g king toe boots. They are almost too warm for this mississippi weather!

I would highly recommend buying a pair of Muck Woody Max Boots. You'll thank me later.

Hi all i am new at this forum,

I decide the best thinsulate for me is 600 - 800 gram

I would like to ask you about what mark of boot to choose??
i have seen so many models in the market!!
and i need your help what to buy.
What boots do you have?
how many years do you use them, are you happy with them ?

I have seen
Timberland - Wolverine - lowa - danner - Golden Retriever -
aigle - meindl - salomon - rocky - LaCrosse - Irish setter -
Columbia - Chippewa - Georgia and even more brands

What to choose i would like your opinion
Thanks for your time

Also if someone dont want to tell public his opinion about a brand sent me a mesage.

I have had some Cabelas products, Danner Pronghorn but none have been as good as my REI "Outland". For cold, wet, or deep snow Bogs.

I got my boots at REI.

They are Lowa.

Very study and comfortable.

Note cheap though, several hundred dollars.

When I hunt, I am just a backpacker with a bow or rifle.

So I get most of my gear at backpacking stores.

The California hunting seasons start during the hot summer months, with coastal bowhunting first.

Eventually they end in the sierra with early snowfall and sometimes rains.

Very unpredictable.
