True to size, but the ankle is tapered.

Does not pull off like a lot of others when stuck in the mud !

MUCK boots are selling well. a lot of farmers like them because they dont hug your feet at ankle and are easier to get off.
LACROOSE boots in my opinion are made for walking.yes they are hard to get off SOMETIMES but they dont slip around your ankle.
i walk miles with lacroose on in grouse season.
they are great.
all boots wear inside at back of your foot .it wears a little hole in that area from rubbing.

i wish they would reenforce that area more.
for WALKING i would get the LACROOSE.if you are not walking far ,MUCK.both are warm in winter.

best bet is to go to shop and try both on. bring your hunting sock you use.walk the store with idea of WHICH FEELS LIKE IT IS HOLDING BETTER TO MY ANKLE.

this is why lacroose is so hard to get off SOMETIMES.my 1500 is easy to get off because it is 1 size bigger. my grouse ones i made same size as my foot and ITS A BEAR TO GET OFF but i need a tight boot to walk 3 miles hunting grouse.
if loose it would rub your ankle.
on 1500 i only walk say 1 mile to my deer stand.with HEAVY sock and 1 size bigger it is fine but if i wore that boot with light sock, it would rub.
so i have 2 boots for hunting and both LACROOSE ..........

Marlin, Muck makes boots for different activities including farming. The ones I have are for hunting and are just like wearing shoes in the woods, They have excellant ankle support and come off with ease. Another reason I like them is the woody elites, have a neoprene upper that is water proof but very flexible. I can actually roll them down to my ankle. That way when i put my pants on then my boots all I have to do is roll the upper over my pants and there is no bulge where your pants curled up inside when sliding on.
Big benefit when you have bigger calves and the boots are snug to your calves to prevent heat loss on those cold days.
I would recomend trying both on and if you choose the Lacroose boots, it would highly suprise me.

my dad has lacrosses and has had them for years and still are ready for more seasons of abuse. i had a pair for awhile but outgrew them and the muck woody max and elites are way out of my price range

call BOOTBOX and see if they have your lacroose.wait until sale to buy this month.
you wont find cheaper place to buy them.hunting boots i would go 1 size bigger if you wear heavy socks. fall grouse hunting, get same size as your foot.
