electric knife sharpener

Default electric knife sharpener

anybody have any good reccomendations on an electric knife sharpeners? what is your experiance with them?

I haven't seen any that will do that great of a job, I use a Lansky which does real well sharpening most knives.

I wouldn't recommend any electric knife sharpener that I'm aware of. It's a job that can only be done well manually. Lansky is a good system. There are others.

I ruined one of my best knives with an electric sharpener. I wouldn't recommend them. Best bet is to get a quality sharpening system and follow the directions. Work slowly and carefully. That edge and angle is important.

I am thrilled with my Chef's Choice 120. I won't attempt to sharpen a knife without it. It makes them razor sharp and the edge lasts in my experience. I am seeing both a sharper blade and a longer lasting blade over other methods and I can do it. Thee only negative is the think cost me like $120. Also, the last 2 stages are used like 90% of the time. The model 320 might be 90% as good and it is only like $90.
