I have looked through LL Beans. I found a lot of things I would like but not the exact socks I was looking for.

Boy, that's a pretty select criteria. The closest I can think of are Filson's 100% Merino. Not sure if they have a red top or not though. Good luck in your search.

great socks....all i wear all winter. a little spendy ( $11-$15 per pair) but worth it. you can tell the differnace with the higher % woll socks as opposed to the cheaper ones with 15-20%
