Who uses these and what do you think of the stuff...
im thinking of getting some for the real cold days to come.
the old wool clothing i have is on its last leg.

I love my SmartWool. So much in fact I bought a second set. I put a whicking layer under it(usually blue undies) If it gets real cold I throw a layer of expedition on top of the smart wool. The smart wool is soft, doesn't itch and feels cuddly.[&:] If you buy the smart wool I'd get the zipper top(it's a partial zipper) so you can vent when walking. It has a high collar too. Watch out which bottoms you buy. Some have a fly flap and some areNO exit hole to relieve yourself.[&:] The reason I know that is the second pair I bought don't have one. That's a pain.

Ihave some army surpluss wool underwear; rarely use it; makes the nads itch and I don't where regular underwear and don't own any. It is warm though, but I get busted by deer when they see me scratching.

Smartwool is awesome. Nothing like it. Very wrm, dry, and comfortable.

Smart wool is excellent stuff.What I like so much about it is how warm it is for it's weight.The tops and bottoms I have are light yet very warm.I also have Ulfrotte long underwear,which is also wool and is excellent.

MOBow... where have you been hiding. It's all over the place. Great cold weather or active outdoor activity garments. They also make some great socks of different weights. It's NOT cheap, but it sure is good. They have a website. Takes a little navigating to find what you want. You can find it in better stores, ski shops, etc.

Try wrapping yourself in silk. It feels so smooth and sleek on your skin.
Plus no chaffing.

Look at my post count, isn't it obvious??? [&:][&:]

After I posted that I ran a google search and found it. It looks awesome, but yes, it's quite expensive. I'm not opposed to spending the money though. I'll be looking at a layering system makeover late this year or for next season and wool is in the plans.

So, how warm is the stuff? I saw only 2 weights, light and mid...
