Default nikon scopes

i'm looking to buy a new scope i pretty much narrowed it down to the nikon buckmaster or prostaff. i can't seem to find a big difference. any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

the difference in them is in the windage/elevation adjustments and in the lenses. I have both scopes( 1 prostaff and 2 buckmasters)and IMO go with the buckmasters (really wish it didn't have their name on it, but oh well), spend a little extra $$ and get a great scope.

One of the guys at the hunting club swears by Nikon. He's tried all makes of scopes and the Nikon has proven the best to him.Nikon is all he'll have now.I've never owned one.I had a Leupold go bad thislast season. I missed three deer because it kept losing it's POI.Resighted it three times and it kept going out.Supposedly Leupold fixed it.

Nikon has a good reputation and I would say go for it.
