Default any ideas for a pistol laser sight

i have a beretta neos u22 that i use for coon hunting. now when the hide season rolls around and we use a pistol because of how easy it is to carry and drag everything out. but the bad thing is the sights are from the factory and its dark out, ya your using lights but it just seems like its hard to plink them in the head, instead your using way too many shells, time and all the holes you put in them. any ideas i was thinking about a laser sight but what if i can get fiber optic sight to help focus on them a bit more. but if i use a laser sight i want it small enough that i can still use my hip holster.

The military uses a Red Dot. I think that is what I would use. Doesn't the dot freak them out like it does with cats?

I use an ultradot 1x25 on my buckmark. I've seen where people have notched out where the scope rides in the holster and it still holds it snug.
