duckdog welcome to the board. Not long ago I picked up a Johnny Stewart electronic game caller. Mine is the mid range speaker.Right now all I can tell you is we have played with it around the house and haven't taken afield yet.It does have good sound. There are several different tapes available. The other day www.midsouthshooterssupply.com had the long range on sale for 163.00. The cassette tapes unless they went up in the last month are 7.22ea.There was a discussion at gun shop one day about these electronic callers and coyotes.Everything that was said about these callers was on a positive note.Hopefully in the spring a few of us are going up to our lease and pick a couple song dogs off.

the fact that your not having any luck with your calls may not be the calls fault but rather your fault.are your using it properly???just about any call made today will work on any predator this is why i say maybe its you.i have at least 20 different calls and a elec caller, all of them work ,none of them work all the time.i have calls made by ej-sceery,lohmann,johnny stewart, verminator, olt, woods wise, quaker boy, penn woods, burnham bros and problably more.my personal favorites are ej sceery, verminator and quaker boy,not nessasaraly in that order.the verminators are open reed calls as is two of my sceery calls.the rest are closed reed or variable pitch calls.i guess if i had to pick a favorite it would be the verminators, there real sweet.
