Rather than a scope, have youn looked at the Tru-Glow sights...they are awesome...I was going to mount a scope on my 870 pump gun for turkey & deer till I ws steered to the Tru-Glow sites....they are excellent in very low light conditions unlike a scope & one hell of a lot cheaper....I have them mounted on both my turkey & slug barrel....just my .02 cents worth....Brampton Mike

I put a Simmons shotgun scope on my Mossberg 835---Pro Diamond reticle. 2X. I love it!! I have read nothing but bad stuff about Simmons scopes in these forums---but I have had good luck with them so far. Have a Simmons 44 mag on my 30-06. Maybe I'm in for a fall soon. I was worried about the shotgun scope taking a beating shooting 3.5" shells. I took 4 gobblers last year with it and the scope was dead on. I am convinced that a scope is the way to go.

Look into the Nikon and Leupold lines, both make fine scopes. You won't be disappointed with either. Hope this helps!
