Danners are among the best I have found. ESP the ones made in USA. Expect to pay from 240-300 bucks. They are very comfortable. Check out Cabelas
Also The Meindl from Cableas
And HH brown are also exceptional. They make the Browning boots like the lightweight ones made out of Kangaroo. These are the ones I wnated to buy for my Elk hunt last year but Cabela's did not have my size.

Y'all must wear your hunting boots to work and church as well as hunting judging from some of these replies .

I have a pair of Carnivore 1000 boots made for Sportsman's Guide's Guide Gear label that my wife bought me for Xmas 5 years ago , they're heavyweight Cordura nylon with rubber bobcat soles and 1,000 grams of Thinsulate and they still aren't showing significant signs of wear . She paid $79 + shipping for them . The boots were made for SG by either Rocky or Itasca , I can't remember which . My early season boots are a pair of 200 gram Thinsulate el cheapo pacs from Wally World that cost about $30 , I've had them for 6 years and they're still in great shape . Just for squirrel and rabbit hunting I wear some camo sneakers that were also purchased from Wally World for $10 , at that price they're just about disposable . I could see somebody who hunts as hard as Shockey or Zumbo needing higher dollar boots , but most of us just plain overthink them .

For me...

Early season stationary and active hunting in 50+ degree temps, I wear un-insulated mid-weight Colombia hiking boots. They're light, waterproof, and afford good traction.

Mid-season stationary and active hunting in 30-50 degree temps, light snow, I wear Colombia Bugaboo boots. They have light insulation (200 grams?), are comfortable, and afford good traction. At colder temps or stationary hunting I wear wicking socks with heavier socks or even battery heated socks.

Late season under 30 degrees, I wear Cabelas 10" Iron Ridge 800 gram boots with wicking socks and merino wool.

Last December I went deer hunting with a guy who had never deer hunted before. He didn't have very good boots. He ended up losing 3 toenails on his right foot, just from hunting one cold, snowyweek-end.

Good boots are worth the $$.

All my hunting boots I go with Gore-tex for the water-proofing keeping the boys dry.
For early season Pheasants walking I have non-insulated Cabelas with a toe that wears longer going through a lot of coarse grass.
For cold weather, I have Irish Setter 1000 gram Thinsulate with an oil finish outer leather I like. With a good pair of Mohair goat hair socks from the "Goat Lady" in Harmony MN, my toes stay nice and toasty even in real cold weather.

You just cant beat the rocky bear claws for the price. Im tough on boots and these have done me well for 2 seasons and still going. Waterproof as you can get and very warm and lightweight for a hunting boot. I like the grip they have in the snow also.

Danner Pronghorns are the best boots that I have ever owned. I have owned Rocky, Lacrosse, among other brands and will say that they are worth the extra money.

I wear only meindls until it gets cold enough to wear pack boots.Totally waterproof, comfortable ,and plenty of support. Many elk and sheep guides wear them.
AGREED...........
I prefer the Meindl Island Pro but have herd good things about the Canada Pro...
I don't know if its worth the extra hundred or so bucks for them,( I just think the Canada Pro are too tall and would take a little longer to break them in,) but my buddiesthink they are THE BEST.....
Get this Stubble just picked up another pair of Island Pro yesturday for $155.00 Cnd not including taxes but still good bargan...
Between the pair I bought last year and the ones yesturday,I should be set for the next6 years anyway....
