Default Bushnell Firefly Reticle

I was wondering if anyone had one of these reticle's.
I just sold my VXII 3-9 and am getting read to buy a Bushnell 4200 in 2.5-10x-40 and cant decide if the Firefly is worth having. Its only about 30bucks more so the price isnt that much different but I wanted to hear from someone who had it and how much they like or dislike the scope. thx

Well I'll respond to my own post. I finally purchased a new 4200 in 2.5-10x40mm with the firefly ret. and its pretty cool. Its hard to beat at night. The best price I found on the scope was at www.ebinoculars.com it was 350 shipped.

I got to compare this scope to a few of my other and its pretty obvious these 4200's are something with low light. I haveA VXIIi 40mm and a VX II 50mm and it was defintely brighter then both of theM late this evening. I also threw ina 3200 40mm in the mix and it wasnt as bright as the VX-III but was better then the VX-II.

The glow of the firefly ret. was pretty awesome. I only shined a light into it for about 10secs and it lasted about 1/2 hour it wasnt overly bright and really brought out the x-hairs at dusk and after dark.

IMO the 4200s are unbeatable for the price you can get these for compared to other brands. Bushnell also has a policy that if you buy a4200 and in the first year for and are unhappy about it for any reason, send it and your receipt back and they will refund 100% of the purchase price no questions asked and they havea lifetime warranty on all defects. Thats as good as it gets.

I have the 3200 but I haven't had such luck with the reticle. I usually forget to "light" it and then it doesn't seem to stay "lit" very long.

I use a flashlight with a Xenon bulb for about 30secs to a minute and it stays light for a few hours.
