Anyone use Meopta Binoculars
#2
I have not tried their bins though the fact the Cabelas is now using them for their own brand of "Eurobins" must say something. I have yet to find a product with the Cabelas name on it that was junk. I do, however, have some experience with their optics as I own a Meopta Hermes 1 70 mm spotting scope. Great little scope. Optics are top notch, at least on par with the Nikon scope of equal price. Ruggedness and overall durability seems superb. The scope is built like a tank and I do not anticipate having to worry about any craftsmanship issues.
Sorry I could not help more.

I looked through a pair at the Cabela. I was extremely impresseed. They were definately on par with the big 3 (or Big 4 if you include Nikon Premier) They were as I recall 800 bucks or so. The time ti buy is now. I remember 6 years ago when I noticed IOR-Valdada scopes for the first time. A 3x9x40 1" scope was 399. A tactical 2.5-10 in 30mm was about 450. Now that` they are well know they have gone up in price faster than inflation would indicate. Get down to a cabela's and check it out.
