Hog hunting in Minnesota

Here is a picture of the hog we shot on our farm in Northern Minnesota a couple of weeks ago.
Also in the picture is my new bird hunting hound dog, a 7 month old Rhodesian Ridgeback.
He tracked the hog, then tracked her 9 piglets for almost two hours.
Not a huge sow, but we put 98 pounds of meat in the freezer!

Here is one of the baby pigs which we caught.
There are still 6-7 left in the field which we have not managed to catch- guess we'll be doing some more
hog hunting before winter!
