I don't know where you live and hunt in Appleby, but I can assure you that the hogs have not been eradicated. I hunt the Lanana bottom just south of Appleby, and the hogs move through our place on a regular basis. I have been hunting the same place for 13 years, and they do seem to have become more "nomadic" but are definitely still there.

Here is a picture of my son with a hog that he killed a couple of weeks ago.

You just need to look more betta. It may be slow where you are hunting, but East Texas is full of hogs. People I talk to that never had hogs in the past are now covered up with them.

It could be that all the rain has them moved out of their normal habitat and on to other places....just wait...they'll be back.

Been hunting at this place for several years and for the last 3 straight years solid. Haven't even seen any sign of them rooting around. I'm seriously thinking about souring up a bunch of maize and dumping it out there somewhere...lol.

We hunt up in Buffalo and we are overrun with them. THough they will travel around and disappear for up to 2 -3 months at a time and then re-appear.
