First Post, Hunting Stewart tomorrow
#11
New to the forum and hog hunting. My buddy and I have made 3 or 4 trips to Ft. Stewart without seeing a hog yet. Plenty of sign, but no pigs. I appreciate the information in this forum. Think I will stalk more agressively tomorrow. Find a hot trail and try to work up wind.
Hello Friend,
I'm doing research on Fort Stewart and believe I am ready to hunt it when the Florida deer season is over. I have a question. Is there camping for hunters year round up there or will I need to find a motel? I fthere is..where is it located at? I can't believe you folks can use 22 cal. up there for deer.

There is a campground on the base. It is in area A-16. I don't think you can use rimfire for deer. I believe it has to be centerfire, but any centerfire caliber is legal, I think.
