With the Casull, did you really have to shoot them a lot? Seems to me, one shot would pretty much do it.

Your choice of the Ruger P-97 was a very good one. They are American made. They are not the best looking gun around but for pure defense I would pick the Ruger over anything else I ever tried and I tried darn near all of them. For the MONEY Nothing can compare. It will never fail you.
