do you guys take pistols with you when you hunt? because wouldent it be hard to shoot a fast moving cat or dog close range with a rifle? or if it is bolt action and there are more than one wolf?

well i dont im not old enough to carry a pistol yet. but my dad does. he usually carries a 44-40 revovler. or he carries his .45 that with some sweet hollow point tips. on those the bullet itself is black and the casing is silver. those are sweet lookin rounds but he doesnt know where to buy em anymore.

I generally carry my ccw with me when I hunt. For daily carry, I use a Smith and Wesson M38 "bodyguard" 38 special. I occasionally carry my Glock 17 or Ruger Blackhawk 357 when I hunt but mostly the M38.

I always carry a side arm.I usually carry my Ruger 44 mag or my Taurus 357 mag. My view is that if I need to "finish off" an animal that I've shot I'd rather not do that with a 300 win mag or whatever I'm carrying.
Also you're right, it is nice for shootin a cayote or dog, I don't run into very many cats big enough to shoot in Indiana!

I carry a Ruger.40SW every time I walk out my door. Doesn't matter if I am going to Wal-mart, fair or the deer woods. You must be 21 in the state of KY to own a handgun. You must have a CCDW licenses to carry it.
