Default Mercury Tubes in rifles?

Hey has anyone here ever tried putting a mercury tube in a rifle but stock? If so how affective was it?

Don't know, haven't done it. But I did have one in my BPS and it worked pretty well. I expect similar results from a rifle.

i got a mercury tube in my bennilli nova 12ga. I can tell A difference from before and after. The 12ga. is easier to shot than my 270 feather weight winchester.

I have tried them in several and if you don't mind the weight, you can tell the differance.

Can someone explain what this is?

Can you put one in a Steoger 2000, semi-auto 12 guage?

Thanks
Tom

I think that to be acting properly in a rifle the mercury tube should be angled down toward the toe of the stock, that will require a very precise drilling of the bolt action stock, and in syntetics it will require to fill up the hollow with some kind of foam spray plastic.
I was looking into it, and lost interest when I saw how complicated it was.
but I am open to suggestions, I want to put one in a syntetic stock for a Remington 7400 carbine.

Mercury? I thought that you couldn't get ahold of mercury anymore cause it's a big time cancer causing agent.

I think mercury will kill off your brain cells so fast you won't have enough time to develop cancer. It's the vapor that gets you, or some that's been metabolized by another critter.

White bear, stuffin' somethin' in one of the vacuum sealer bags that fills the void in your stock works pretty danged good.
