If you need to hunt game bigger than deer/bear with a .444, bullet selection is critical. 300 gr. hard cast shoot well out of my marlin but i have thought of trying the 250 gr. partition. Has any one used the 265 gr. hrndy for big stuff? If you are trying to decide between a .45-70 and .444 the .45-70 is more versatile. The 350 gr. hrndy does it all.

I shoot a 444 with the 22" barrel handloaded with hornady 300gr.xtp bullets.
Been used on several different species of big game,always done the job.

Take a kid hunting,for they are the future of the sport.
