I have heard of this from another forum, an o ring is used as a buffer between the barrel and foregrip, placed around the stem that the forearm screw rides in. It kinda acts as a free float but not really, it does however get some of the barrel away from the wood stock. If you want to try this out the o ring specs are .... o.d. .375 (3/8") width of o ring .930 or somewhere near 3/32". If you cant find one, give me a pm, I have like a hundred of them and can send you one if you want.

I did it. I used a rubber o-ring at the forearm screw and one lower on the forearm to keep the barrel off the stock.

It did wonders. I actually used 2 at the screw, I think.
