I have a Browning Micro Medallion .243 that was given to me by my father. My problem is I don't like a .243. I really would like to rebarrel it to 7mm-08 , .260, or .308 , preferably the 7mm-08. Is this a simple rebarrel job since all are based on the same case or would other modifications necessary. There's nothing wrong with the .243, I just like a little more bullet weight and more diameter for deer. Give me some feedback?

It would best if you could trade or sell and get another used one. Browning barrels are notoriously extremely difficult to remove. A rebarreling and reblueing job can run ya around 400 dollars when its said and done.
If it was a 700, or 70, it would be easy to find a barrel someone removed new cause they are customized most often. So all a smith would have to do is set your headspace and touch up. But I jsut don't know too many people customizing a A-Bolt.
You can try to go to www.gunbroker.com and others and look for a take off barrel from a A-Bolt would be your best choice.
