Default Encore caliber?

I am thinking bout getting a Encore with 15" barrel for deer hunting, right now I am considering a 375 jdj or 7-08 what are the pros and cons of each and if anyone has personal experience with either let me know!? Thanks

i have an encore w/15" barrel in 7mm-08 and a fixed 4X leupold scope, i have killed several whitetails with it, love this thing, i went with the -08 because of the 7 mm stuff i already had, i looked at the 7-30 waters and still chose the -08, btw i had an older t/c in 30-30 14"barrel, my dad wanted it to shoot coyotes with. both are great pistols. the only thing that is kind of crazy is getting used to the ler scopes, maybe someone on here can explain it better, it's like you can see the target and you can move it, the target, or a double image, but you will like it. i trust mine to 150 yards anyday

I have a TC Encore 15" 7-08 and love it ,it is a true 200 yd deer cart. from the TC.
I have played with a 375 JDJ all I can say is WOW. It has been used to take cape buffalo and elafent . It will kill deer but it is more for the biger stuff.
Recoil is stout ,not for the beginer. Muzzel blast is bad ,plugs are a must if you don't want your ears to ring for days.
I have the 375 JDJ barrel as my next on the "I want it but can't tell you why" list.

I use Nosler 120gr BT in Fed cases with 36.0 gr of AA 2015BR and a Fed 210 primer.
I am getting about 2500 fps

In my Encore 15",7mm-08 I reload Hornady 120gr. SSP's (singel shot pistol) but I think Hornady stoped makeing them! Thank god I have 2 new un-opened boxes, that should last me a year or two...
