I've had .32 Sp. for years. It is my backup rifle for deer hunting. I starting casting bullets for it and handloading. I use jacketed bullets for deer but have shot more rabbits and squirrels than anything. When the deer loads are on at 100 yd., the bunny loads are on at 25 yd. I've fire formed 30-30 cases into .32's by putting a small amount of powder and a lot of oatmeal into the case and firing. Bam! instant .32 Special cases. It's fun and cheap to shoot. And nothing I've ever shot with it, from squirrels to a very large black bear, has ever gone anywhere after being hit once.

Great gun and was a good cartridge. I'll inherit my grandfathers one day. Bit of history, the reason it's called winchester special is because you could use smokeless or blackpowder cartirdges. Back in the day I imagine this came in handy out west. Anyways I think you'll like the gun.

I have a 32 win that belonged to my grandfather. He bought it new for twenty some dollars back in 1920 or there abouts . Its the 1893 Marlin . I used it when I was a kid for awhile but its now just a keepsake . I have been offered quite a bit more than the original price for it
