Default 44 mag and 44 special

I bought a marlin 1894 lever 44mag yesterday, will it hurt it to shoot 44
special bullets in it . Wife is recoil shy.

Default RE: 44 mag and 44 special

NO. They should work fine. If they function well then use them. Keep in mind however that if you fire quite a few 44 Specials, clean the chamber well so the front part won't foul and not chamber the full length 44 Mags.

One other thought, be carefull of hot loaded lead bullets in Magnum loads as they can lead the barrel pretty fast. They are fine however in factory 44 Special loads.
