I hope this wasnt posted anywhere else ( i couldnt find it ) but could someone tell me the noise report of a .17 hmr out of a rifle maybe comparative to a .22lr and .22wmr. Thanks =)

Its not bad. When I shoot mine its not a concern. I guess it may be louder than a 22lr maybe, but no worse than a 22 mag.

its a fair bit louder then a .22 lr i dont have one but my cousin dose and when i shoot with him we both wear earplugs. Can never be to safe.

Yeah my ears r really sensitive and the slightest bang make my ears ring pretty bad. Thats why i asked.

I have a 17HMR and a 22 mag, and they are real similar. When shooting from a bench, I wear ear muffs, but in the field, both seem about the same to me.

Neither is very loud...compared to other calibers.
