Default Another Noise question??? Ripcord???

Recently I bought and installed a Ripcord drop away. Since then, I hear a noise on nearly every shot. I think it's coming from the Ripcord. I've checked everything on the bow and nothing is loose. However, there is a little slop in the arm of the rest where enters the body (the area where the arm pivots), not much but I think that this is the culprit. For those of you familiar with this rest, is this adjustable? Can it be resolved somehow? Have any of you had this problem?

Thanks for any and all help..

Is the launcher arm hitting the shelf of your bow?

I have a Ripcord and have felt the same slight slop, but I don't think that is the problem.

I think the major portion of noise comes from the arm hitting the shelf, especially if you only have a piece of moleskin on the shelf to silence the arm.

I went ahead and bought the new Limbsaver Fall-Away pad and arrow holder. I didn't use the arrow holder, but indeed installed the pad on top of a new piece of moleskin I placed upon the shelf of my bow.

This seemed to dramatically reduce the noise from the Ripcord.

Hopefully this might help.

Hey Bols! Thanks for the reply, but....
It is not hitting the shelf. I too have a limbsaver pad on the shelf. Only difference is that I didn't put the pad on top of moleskin.

I've thought about putting a little dry lube (graphite) into the pivot area of the arm. Ya think that would hurt anything? I know there's gotta be some sort of bearing or bushing in there along with some type of spring. Everything I do leads me back to that area. I may go to the shop tomorrow and check out some other bows with the Ripcord to see if I hear the same sounds as mine. Maybe there's a flaw in mine. One way or another, I'll firgure something out.

Thanks again,
Waid
