I would like to know if the 30-06 cal. is enough to hunt the Moosehead and Deer if we have to make some shots between 100 yds and 300 yds..
We have also to consider the fact that I live in a smalltown and we don't have a lot of disponibily on the cartridge...
answer would be really pleased .....

the ole 06 will drop any deer in that range.......pick a good bullet and im sure it will work on a moose.......its probably one of the best all around cartridges there is.....load em light for varmints.....medium for deer....heavy for big game.......it always works for me.........

With the right bullet, that ol boomer will do anything you ask of it. As Mauser06 said, it will do it all. I like noslers Partition, or Failsafe. Both with do in anything unlucky enough to walk in front of you.

The old '06 is enough for those big northern deer. I'd probably use a good 180 gr bullet.
If your going after moose, I'd move up to the 220s and keep my range under 200 yds. Alothough with moose, you can usually get alot closer.

I've had only one 06 and used it for everything for two years when the wife and I were 1st together and "poor". I'm not a expert of the caliber, but I know it'll do the job at three hundred yds. Quite a bit longer if the shooter does his part. however, if your asking about the range, you probably aren't in that group of 400+yd shooters yet, keep shooting it and you'll get there though.

I shot one deer at about 425 yards with the 30-06. A 700 Remington BDL. This is really to far to shoot at game for me. The deer was wounded and about to slip into a area where we didn't have permission to hunt. The easy range of the 06 for expierenced shooters is about 300 yards. That goes for most other calibers as well. For me the 30-6 is good at any range that I feel I can do my part every time.
