Was looking at the shop a few minitues ago and shouldered one of them. Dang they were nice. Does anyone have expierence with these. I think this would be a good rifle to my collection. As of now the only rifle i own is a win classic stainless 270. This rifle just looks to pretty to turn down. Thanks for comments!

Very nice rifle that handles very well and shoots extremely well..I have the synthetic stocked version in 7-08 and it is a shooter. My buddy has 2 LSS both in 7-08 with Leupold 2-7x33 VX-II's on them ,seems the kids grandpa wanted them to start out on the right foot.

Yep, I picked one up a few years ago. Laminated stock, stainless barrel and action.
Real nice guns. Mine is a .270 Win. No problems, and very accurate. Maintains zero year after year too. Put a 2-7x Leupold on mine. One extra benefit with mine is that
it puts about four different factory loads all to the same POI (Rem.150 gr CoreLokt, Fed.
150gr. Classic, Win. 130gr. Pow.Point, and the Remington 100gr. varmint load).
I think this rifle is probably one of the best buys out there today, and mine has certainly
been a good one for me.

I've always loved the 700 Mt. Rifle, the feel the lines etc. and planned to buy one recently..........Honestly the quality or "Something" on the brand new LSS I was holding didn't strike me as what I remembered from the first few regular Mt. Rifles I held many years ago. (With the floorplate).
The new one just felt "Sloppy" for lack of a better term.....safety had nasty side to side wobble, the bolth felt rattly etc.
I was actually disappointed as I was there with money in hand.
I wound up picking up a Ruger77 instead.......my 3rd Ruger bolt.
I am still keeping my eye out for a Mountain Rifle, but it'll be an older one, well cared for and in 7mm.08 hopefully.
I'm glad you guys like yours, they are pretty guns, I just couldn't pull the trigger on it (No pun intended)
