Zeiss Conquest 3.5-10x44mm mounted on a custom Ruger .338 win. Exceptional scope. Have only put 20 rounds through since purchasing the scope, but so far am more than impressed with clarity, brightness and quality...

My Favorite gun/scope combo is a DWM Mauser model 1909 (argentine)that my grandfater, who was a talented gunsmith, built up for me. He chambered it is .300 Winmag, put a nice Oklahoma Walnut stock on it, a custom barrel and drilled and tapped it. It wears a Docter Optic 3-9a40 scope made in germany with warne rings. With his loads, Itcan shoot 7/8" groups. It weighs 7.3 lbs. He made it for me back when I was a hippy and I had no interest in guns, being at that time a raging liberal. He is gone now and never got to see me get interested in guns and hunting. But I am taking the Mauser on it's first hunt in October. If I get an elk this year, I know he would be pleased.
Sorry, I ramble

I shoot a Nikon Monarch, Leupold Vari X 3, and Zeiss Conquest pretty regularly, but the Zeiss' optics are brighter and crisper. Also, the eye relief is constant at all powers.

I have a Bushnell 3200 10x40 on my Springfield M1A "Loaded", will be moving to a IOR 10x56 when I get the money, working on a stock upgrade first.

scope again is not a high end thing for me. i look for something that is more my money worth and can afford being disabled does have it;s draw backs. i like thenikon buckmaster scope it is nice scope and is vewry clear and does well in light transmission and i liked the atec from simmons which is what my dad still uses and i have been looking at the burris which is another scope that is really coming up
lots of toys and have to try what fits my money situation.
now if someone feels compelled to buy me a leupold vari111 or a swarsoki i will gladly put it on my encore lol
