Hard to pick one favorite. Thats almost not fair to ask! But my luckiest gun has to be my Remington 1187 SuperMag. I got my best deer with it, and whenever I carry it I almost always see deer. Last year my Dad went hunting with us for the first time in many years, and he wanted to try a new 870 I had bought that had a short barrel. So I carried my 1187 instead. Of course, Dad did not even see a deer, and I was the only one in our club to kill a deer that day. I think if he goes this year I will be able to convince him to carry old lucky.

Thought I'd throw my opinion in for what its worth, I own 6 different guns in "deer" calibers, but the one I find myself reaching for the most is my Savage model 110 LH in 7mmRem mag (its probably the ugliest too!!) but no matter where I'm hunting thick woods or wide open fields it doesnt let me down!! (I'd post a picture of it but the Mossy Oak tape kit that I put on it because the stock was beat up might get more laughs than praise!) lol

Yep, this was my first gun (w/ hastings barrel). I've got others, but this is the one I keep coming back to. Low cost, dependable, and effective at short and long ranges.

i love my .35 whelen , and my .350 rem. mag. , both will tackle any north american game animal with the proper loading .
