Old Nazi Rifle value

You could find an 8mm k98 barrel fairly easily on places like gunparts.com, but I don't think it would add to the value of the rifle, but you could restore it to near its original condition.
You might want to post some questions on the German rifle board on milsurpshooter.com - there are alot of knowledgeable people there who could tell you more tan I can.

It would definately be a mauser 98 most likely made on german tooling. If it was made late in the war, it was likely made in occupied lands like Czechloslavakia which already had mauser factoies before the war.

All it says is 98 and beside of that is the Swatica with the eagle over it with wings spread.
Also, on the mounts, they are claw type mounts on the front but on the back mount there is a switch or lever. It looks to tighten down something, but I can't tell any difference. Do you know what it would be used for.
