I have to agree w/ steelshooter, I have been shooting contenders for years and last year started with the Encore. Very accurate guns and versatile. With an Encore you can have the .308 and the 7mm08 with the same gun. Not only that if ya want you can make a rifle out of them.

The .308 is big enough for anything in the lower 48, and you can always get ammo for it and the ammo is not going to cost an arm and a leg .
