gun's for big hog's 400lbs+

I love to hunt hogs .All across the south. And few places in the east. what gun would take?(legally) where you hunt these big game varmit's. (note) There is only ten paces between you and the hog or hog's.you are hunting. input is greatly appreciated EAT MORE BACON ps: I carry whitworth in 375 H&H seems to work

Last time I went hog hunting and I was told that shots could be close I chose to use a carbine 12 Ga slug gun...3-shot....

I use a 280 Remington with 175 gr. Nosler Partition handloads. This will cleanly anchor hogs that are big. I own 312 acrres of land and lease another 250. We have an abundance of feral hogs. I have taken as small as ten pounds to one weighing 486 on the butcher's scales. Never had a problem when using the mentioned handload. I have also taken several with a 257 Roberts and 117 gr. Hornady BT Interlock.
