Default Winchester M70 Ultimate Shadow

I am seriously considering buying one of these rifles in 300WSM. Does anybody own one? What are your experiences with it?

Thanks in advance,

Bill

I have a super shadow in 7 wsm and it is a good shooting gun. I am ditching the stock because there is no floorplate. I have looked over the ultimate shadow and like the one piece floorplate and the stock has the rubber no slip panels which I would have preferred to have. I actually like the CRPF much better then the claw extractor, feeds much smoother and I feel I can say that since this is the third wsm I have owned and the second winchester out of the bunch, the one piece bottom metal is very nice . In my case I replaced the stock with a featherweight stock and purchased new winchester bottom metal.. All in All if my supershadow had come from the factory with a floorplate I wouldn't have done a thing to it except adjust the trigger.

I bought the Model 70 Ultimate Shadow Camo in 270 WSM and I'm very impressed. I would buy another one in a heartbeat.

bearhuntr,

I can pick a camo one up for about $700. I think that it is a good deal.

bb122,

That's about what I payed for mine and I currently have a Zeiss Conquest on it. That setup has sheep and caribou written all over it.

I saw this gun featured on American Rifleman TV last night. It is quite odd looking. From what was shown as features at the end on the segment, the trigger is not adjustable like the previous models.
