Hey Folks! I'm looking for a nice quality shoutgun which costs no more than $1,000. I will be using it primarily for clays and pheasants. I'm looking for preferably a side by side, but an over & under is OK too. I just really like the classical look of the sxs. I would like a European-made gun. So, any recommendations? Thanks!

The SKB 505 O/U is a sweet gun....it's as good as they come for under a grand.

The only s/s's for under $1000 that I have seen are the Stoeger and Baikal. The best two I have seen lately are the new Weatherby and the Beretta, both are way over $1,000.

For o/u's, you probably can find a Beretta 686 used for around $1,000, I use one, light weight, well made.
