Default Best Synthetic Stock

My cousin has a Winchester Pre 64 in a 30.06 what would be the best Synthetic Stock for that rifle. He wants to try and keep the price under $300.00. Thank you for your help and good luck.

If your cousin wants the best synthetic stock, then he must be willing to pay for the best. I personnally, like H-S Precision and McMillan, but these stocks ain't cheap, either in quality or price.

For mid-price range stocks, I would look at Six Enterprise, High Tech, or Hogue. If he wants a synthetic stock for the sake of having a synthetic stock, then B&C, Ram-line, or Butler Creek will do.

McMillan has some M70 stocks on their website for $300 as we speak. Look in the section "internet specials"

I use only mcmillan as they are very stable and well made.

Handloader,
For a hunting rifle a Bell & Carlson is fine. For a long range varmint or bench gun McMillan, or HS Precision is the best.
