mossberg slug barrel on remington gun?

mossberg slug barrel on remington gun?
Doesn't seem right to me but I can get a barrel for my 870 made by mossberg for about 70 dollars cheaper than the remington or even more than that less than the hastings. Has anybody used the mossberg barrels with good results? Any opinions appreciated

I've got a buddy that shotgun hunts here in Ohio. He shoots a Mossberg 835. Says he's shot tons of slug guns and it's the most accurate. As far as the barrels, I would assume the barrels will still be true on an 870.
