I have that same problem with my gun. Anybody have an idea?

Not to highjack the thread, but I have a Remington Mod 7 SS in .308.

Similar to CMA I used some fiberglass and epoxy in a dremel made groove, made it just enough stiffer without adding too much weight. An aluminum rod would work very well also.

I myself don't mind if the forarm is flimsy. Sure it would be nice if it was a quality stock, What I care about is it freefloated barrel and is it pillar bedded or glass or both.

Yeah! Here is a step by step solution

1. remove action screws
2. remove action, magazine, floor plate, triggerguard.... from stock
3. Trow plastic stock in trash
4. Call Boyd's gunstocks and order a laminate stock
5. Place barrelled action into new stock and insert magazine....
6. live happily ever after.

Beer should be cold, women should be hot, and guns should have wood stocks. JMHO
