Dunno about outshooting another round, but I do know that Lazzeroni which are A+ rifles, are way over priced and ammo availablity is extremely difficult. Unless you mail order the stuff. I'd rather be able to walk into my local gun dealer and buy a quality bullet/caliber right off the shelf.
Why go through the headaches of Lazzeroni when one can get quality Remingtons, Sako's, etc....
Just my opinion.

If you want one you better find a gunsmith and have a gun rebarreled for it . then buy brass and dies. and if you dont reload allready , start. brass is expensive for this cartridge and i think the dies are high also. also you might have trouble finding a gunsmith that has the reamers. this will cause an added expense.

It will outshoot the .30/.338, but not the .30/.378. Which one were you asking about?? The .30/.338 is about like the .308 Norma, (a VERY FINE round), and a little less powerful (with handloaded ammo) than the .300 Winchester Magnum.
