Taurus Judge + p ???
This past weekend i picked up a Judge 3" mag, 3" barrel for no real reason. I was curious if it can handle my ruger, high pressure rounds. I have read conflicting answers to this question. Taurus does not quit say. Reason i asked is because i was wanting to play with it this weekend while i hunt. I am thinking of trying it on hogs. Not that i need + p for a boar, i just like hot loads.

imo it will fire em without exploding in yer hand, but i think if you continuously use them that eventually its gonna start losing pressure or something(fall apart, wiggle something loose)

AGREED! I am too scared to shoot those rounds out of my judge. It is my favorite gun I own and I treat it like my baby! Even use it as a concealed weapon, but at 6'6'' 325lbs I am probably the one of a select few that can get away with that

Which "Judge Magnum" do you have? If you have the 513 Raging Judge Magnum, it's really a .454 Cassul with an extended cylinder for 3" .410 shells (assuming it's so labeled with .454/.45lc/.410). In that case, it can take anything up to SAAMI proofed .454 pressures. If it's a 4510, then it can only handle SAAMI .45LC loads.
Almost all of the Taurus revolver manuals that I have seen have listed that they are +P rated, but unfortunately, mine is a Raging Judge .454/.410, so I can't tell you what the 4510 model owners manual says.

I agree with you all, ill leave the +p loads for the black hawk. Heck, if i feel the need for a high pressure round ill just grab the 44mag. I have not cooked up a load for the judge, but did shoot a box of leverevolutions through it and they shoot well. Im surprised with this gun. Its pretty accurate with 45 s and is a nasty self defense gun with 3" 000 buck shot and even nastier with the PDX. I know some people have bad mouthed this gun, i don't know why, i love it.
