RE: .270 Ballistics Question
Go to www.norma.cc , or www.realguns.com , and fill in the blanks with this information:
Velocity: 2850 f/s
Bullet: 150 gr.
Ballistic Coefficent (BC): .465
Sectional Density (SD): .279
The velocity stated above will probably not match your actual velocity due to other compounding factors. The ballistics you will come up with through these sites will give you an idea of your bullets trajectory. Go to the range and figure out your point of impact (POI) at 100 yds., 200 yds., 300 yds. etc, so you will know your exact trajectory. Good luck.

My guess is you should be a couple inches low at 300 yards, 12 or 14 low at 400 yards.
Not sure at 200 but my guess is you will still be about an inch or 2 high at that distance. It is pretty close to the appx. the same with any high velocity cartridge with pointed bullets in the 2800 to 3000 fps range.
This is just off the top of my head from the info you gave so you will want to confirm these figures with the ballistics chart the earlier poster provided.
And as always you need to shoot at the range if possible, you want to really nail it down and be confident that that is what is really happening with your rifle and loads.
