I had an elite on my 30-06, and didn' t like it. I didn' t like the black ring on the edge like what others said... also, I believe the leupolds are just built stronger. I think they are clearer than the bushnell also.

Stubblejumper, where do you buy your a-lines from in Canada? I haven' t found anywhere that handles or sells the a-line, just the professional series. Also if you don' t mind me asking what do they run?

Skeeter-I bought four 3x10x42 a-lines from russellssports in calgary last summer for right around $1150 each.I would check the price though as I got a bit of a cut for buying four at one time.Wholesale sports in calgary/edmonton/saskatoon sells them as well.

However on this site you are lower than a lepper if Leupold is the your minimum standard.
I don' t know about that as I' ve seen the elites reccommended time and time again on this site as best scope in its class and a good choice to use.I heartily endorse the Bushnell Elites in 3200 and 4200 for hunters and shooters alike. All scopes have bad points as well as good so I would like to see a little more eye relief and a little less weight in them but for the dollar spent you' d be hard pressed to find a clearer/brighter scope in their price range bar none. The rainguard really works and is great when you' ve walked a mile in and get on stand and your body heat wants to fog your scope everytime it gets against your body.It don' t stop fogging or frosting but prevents it from being so bad as to keep you from being able to make the shot.If it didn' t work there wouldn' t be so many scope makers developing their own brand of rainguard right now as we speak. They also have a lifetime transferable warranty that takes the risk out of buying or selling one.If money is not the deciding factor the 4200 will be brighter and have a little more clarity, not a great difference but a difference none the less,I have both and would find the 4200 superior at first and last shooting minutes in thick woods with overcast-low light conditions prevelant. In bright light there will be very little difference between them to your eyes.

Yea I quess our right. Looking back through some other posts, I see that the Elite scopes have not had to bad of a review. I have a 3200 now and I like it pretty well. Its a 3x9 and although I am getting to prefer fixed power scopes, Its a good one for the money. Our Walmart sells them for 179.00.

Thanks SJ. I will have to check with Wholesale again, they told me no just the PV series. Although it doesn' t suprise me if I got the wrong info with some of the monkeys they have working at the Saskatoon store.

Stubblejumper, just pulled out the catalogue...DUH on me. I usually look through the catalogue so I know what they are suppose to have, but missed that one. Thanks again.
