Bushnell Elite 3200
I have read so many good things about the Bushnell Elite 3200 that I'm going to give one a try on my new Savage 270 wsm. I really hope I will not be disappointed as I have always been very happy with Leupold and actually consider myself a diehard Leupold fan! Now I just have to look around and find a good deal on one.

The 3200 is great... Very clear, good optics, great value... The only negative is it only offers around 3 inches of eye releif.
Other scopes in that price range you might want to try out are the Sightron SII and Nikon Buckmaster... For about 100 dollars less you can get a Simmons Aetec (best bang for the buck).
Nothing wrong with the 3200 other than the eye releif.

The eye relief is the only thing that I'm a little concerned about with the Bushnell vs a Leupold. Hopefully the eye relief of the 3200 will be fine.

I like the look and feel of the Sightron SII 3-9x42. I looked through one a few days ago and it was very clear and bright, but I'm just a little concerned about the company itself. You know, will they be around 10 or 15 years from now should something go wrong with the scope? Although, everything I have read about the Sightron SII and the company has been positive. I emailed them a few days ago and asked them what their warranty policy was on their scopes if I was not the original owner/purchaser of the scope. The reply they sent me stated their warranty covers the product regardless of who the purchaser or original owner was.
If I were to buy a Nikon, I would go ahead and get the Monarch. The Optic Zone has them in gloss for 239 bucks. The eye relief on them is a little better than the Bushnell at about 3.5" and I believe it is a constant 3.5".
Actually, I will probably give the Nikon Monarch some serious thought before I get the Bushnell. I hate having to make decisions like this..LOL!

I also read all of the hype about the 3200. Finally I bought one. It looks nice and craftsmanship is top notch, however the optics leave alot to be desired. Maybe the one I have is a dud. It's going back to Bushnell for a refund. I'll add about $100 to it and get a Nikon Monarch 3-9X40.

was really blurry around the edges, I tried for hours to focus it out....no luck. There is also alot of distorsion between the center and the outter edge. Like I said, my is prolly a dud, but whatever the case it has left me w/ a negative impression. From what I have seen 1st hand I'd take a Simmons AETEC anyday over the Elite 3200.

I have a monarch and really like it. The brightest of all the moderately priced scopes (if not all of them). 95% light transmission.
As for the Sightron they actually make the glass for Leupold, the SII compares favorably to the VXIII glass. They offer a lifetime warranty and from what I hear honor it amazingly.... If you like the sightron I would easily give it a shot, I know that is the next on my list.
Go to www.opticforum.com and ask them... You will probably get the same advice as you do hear.

My partner has 3x9x40 elite 3200's on his 7mmremmag and 338winmags.So far eye relief has not been a problem.I am using one on my 7mmultramag and it too is standing up well after hundreds of rounds.
