RE: Another Remington Junk Report
I'm sorry to hear these things. You would think a company with such a huge name would start putting out a little quality in their products.

RE: Another Remington Junk Report
How many times have you heard or seen a Rem 700 that accidentally discharged when the safety was moved to "fire" but the trigger was not touched. I know several Police Depts that have refitted all their SWAT rifles with aftermarket triggers and worked on them because of that little problem.
Rem will not admit it, but they have a quality control problem that will jump up and bite them sooner or later. |
RE: Another Remington Junk Report
It will bite them later. Those stupid integrated locking devices are a lawyers idea of making a bad gun safe. Ultimatley it's still up to the individual to maintain a safe attitude when it comes to firearms. There is no replacment for that. And as if triggers aren't bad enough, I have seen there "soldered" on bolts literaly coming off in the hands of shooters! How would you like that when your staring down a charging 1000 lb brown with the intent on making you a memory!:(

RE: Another Remington Junk Report
Like i said above, my 597M has "never" jammed! Not even once. I think i'll put it on EBAY and get "rich", as i have the only one that doesn't jam!!! :>)
You guys that complain about the 597's jamming, how accurate are they??? Mine shoots more than acceptable for my needs. I've shot quite a few pest around the farm with it, and keeps on doing it's job without complaint! Drilling Man |
RE: Another Remington Junk Report
I bought an 870 riot gun last year, and I'm underwhelmed by the quality. I thought I would be OK at least with the ol' 870!
