I'm suprised no one's already said my favorite, although Rozman62 is close. A Marlin 336SS in 30-30. I do have to admit that if the 336SS was offered in .35 Rem, and ammo was just as available and just as cheap as 30-30, I would have chosen the .35 rem.. I have a Bushnell Elite 3200 2-7x32mm scope that I attached with a picatinny rail and Millett detachable low profile rings.
