Slings and swivels for a Remington ADL
My son has a birthday coming up and I wanted to get him a good set of swivels and a decent sling. If anybody has a set-up on their own Remington ADL that they like and recommend, I' d appreciate hearing about it.....and any links to places that carry the products would be cool ...
Thanks,
John

" Butler" neoprene slings are very good. Neoprene material makes the most comfortable slings to carry a rifle with.
Cabela' s carries them. 800-237-4444, www.cabelas.com/.
# jc-22-3835 $14.99 black, jc-22-0717 has four cartridge holders black or camo $17.99.
Swivels- jc-22-1144 (025) $8.99, (031) if rifle needs the studs.

I just put a Quake Claw sling on my Rem .270 this spring. Haven' t carried it in the deer woods yet but just around the house it is very comfortable and does not slide off your shoulder like the old nylon sling did. I do like the neoprene slings as they seem to make the gun lighter but opted for the Claw to keep the rifle in one place.

The slings I use are Latigo Slings from www.brownells.com Good luck.

I have a good 1907 military style sling on my adl. If you learn how to shoot with it, it becomes much more useful than the typical carrying strap.[8D]

Thanks Briman,
I use some military slings on a couple rifles too, chiefly my 2 Swedes that are sporterized. Learning to use a sling when shooting can steady anybody' s groups. Good point, and one I hope will not be lost on my son.
